Ron Ciraulo grew up in Juneau, Alaska. While he participated in church for most of his life, it wasn’t until he was in college that he realized he needed to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. However, after committing his life to the Lord, the lure of his old college lifestyle crowded out his relationship with Him. It wasn’t until 5 years later, when he was reconnected with an old girlfriend, Terry, who had recently given her life to the Lord, that he wholeheartedly submitted his life to the lordship of his Heavenly Father.
Earning his BA and teaching credential at Gonzaga University, Ron has been a public school teacher in Juneau and Issaquah since 1986. During that same time, he has pursued a parallel career in ministry. After attending Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California, Ron did a pastoral internship at Calvary Chapel of Temecula Valley, in California in 1997-98. From 2000 through 2003, he served as Youth Pastor for Oasis Christian Fellowship in Issaquah, and from 2007-2009 he was the Pastor of Horizon Christian Fellowship in Sammamish.
Being a teacher by trade – and by calling – Ron has been teaching the Word of God in various capacities over the past 25 years. Whether serving on staff as a pastor, leading home Bible studies, teaching Sunday school, helping to facilitate the young adult ministry, or teaching at Jr. High youth retreats, Ron can usually be found helping people understand and apply God’s Word to their lives.
And, whatever happened to that girlfriend that led him back to the Lord? Terry’s been walking by Ron’s side as his wife since 1992!
