Almost a Year Old!

If you’re reading this you have had some connection with the Calvary Chapel Maple Valley campus in the past year.  It’s hard to believe that our campus has been up and running for nearly 12 months.

When we set out on this venture of faith last September 20th, it was with the clear direction from the Lord that our mission was:

1.  to teach the word of God line upon line and verse by verse;
2.  to reach out to the community of Maple Valley – especially those who are “unchurched;” and,
3.  that we need to have a “long-term time horizon on our investment.”

Throughout the last year, each of you has touched this ministry in some way, and for that we thank the Lord.  Whether you have checked out the ministry once, walked with us along the journey for a time, or you have trekked the entire way with us, we have been greatly encouraged by your fellowship.

In the last year, we’ve studied God’s Word and worshipped Him together on Sunday evenings, we’ve encouraged one another in Bible studies and in prayer groups, we’ve reached out to our community with a community barbecue, and we’ve grown to know and love the members of our host church, Maple Valley Church of the Nazarene.  As it is, we’ve served to let the community know that by God’s grace we are here – and we’re here to stay.

As we look forward to the next year(s) ministering to our community, we pray that the Lord would help us expand our influence for Him in the community.  As He continues to build the core group of believers – both spiritually and in numbers – we look to Him to give us ever-increasing opportunities to touch the lives of those around us.  (Unless He builds the House, our labor is in vain.)

We truly covet your prayers for the continued success and growth of our ministry.  As you drive by the church or as the Lord puts us on your hearts, please be sure to lift us up to Him.  And, if the Lord leads, you can join together with us at the men’s prayer group each Saturday morning at the church, or in our every-other-week women’s Bible study at Vintage Espresso.

Check out our website for information and schedules.

If you get the opportunity, we’d love to have you check in and let us know how you’re doing.  It’s our great privilege to pray for any needs you might have.

Thanks again for your contributions to our first year.  We are so glad you have shared in the journey with us.  And now, it’s onward into the next one!

God bless each of you!
